The U14 Squad ended their season in the Yorkshire Team Tournament at the York Railway Institute so it was an early start for the 12 players. Aaron, an Under 12, made his debut for the U14 Team.
The day was a mixture of could have won matches against Lancashire and Nottinghamshire and tough defeats against Yorkshire 1, Surrey and Leicestershire, along with a single victory against Yorkshire 2. Even in the defeats there were a number f close games, we could just not quite finish them off and so finished 6th of 7 teams.
The whole team fought hard all day, even in the face of significantly stronger opposition, and an important lesson from the day is, that if you stick to a plan and believe you can win, you can. Every player won at least one game during the day. Special thanks to all of the players and parents who made the journey in the knowledge that they had not been selected for next season.
Well played to Ava, Danielle, Maisa, Ruby, Shayni, Venus, Aaron, Alex, George, Jack, Oli, and Ted.
